The Winter Guard consists of Varsity and Non-Varsity performance ensembles that meet in the spring semester. Membership is based on audition in the late fall semester for a select number of spots. Winter Guard is a sub-group of the NOVA Color Guard, and incorporates dance with spinning flags, rifles, and sabres. It combines elements of dance and athletics to create entertaining pageantry.

The Cypress Woods Winter Guard competes in TCGC contests across the state, as well as WGI throughout the spring. Members also perform in the Cypress Woods High School Dance - Spring Show in late April - early May.
