Color Guard Director
Amy Monceaux is a geometry teacher and color guard director at Cypress Woods High School, where she leads and develops in both the math classroom as well as the marching field.
Ms. Monceaux attended Blinn College and graduated from Texas State University with a bachelor's in secondary math curriculum and instruction. She will be in her eighth year in education at Cy-Woods after beginning her career at Salyards Middle School where she taught algebra 1 and was a sponsor of the robotics team. Her first year at the woods brought new challenges as she was the color guard assistant director, then moving on to head director for the 2018-19 season.
Ms. Monceaux is a dog mom of her boy Dobby, loves to bake, and loves to read in her spare time. She was born in Lake Charles, LA, but grew up in College Station, TX. She looks forward to continue to grow the program with the 212 spirit!
Assistant Guard Instructor
Mr. Estrada graduated from Leander High School in 2018 and has served as a technician at Leander, The Woodlands HS, and Cypress Woods High School. He will be serving as a choreographer and technician at Cy-Woods and Leander High School for the 2019-2020 school year. Mr. Estrada is currently majoring in Philosophy and minoring Psychology at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. He is excited to be working with a growing program!
